I moved to Russia for many reasons. One reason was to live out of a suitcase. I wanted to focus on many skills. I wanted to survive only on my intellect and navigate an unfamiliar lifestyle. The hardest part in life, which Robert Burns' noted in "To a Mouse" is that "The best laid plans of Mice and Men, Often go awry". When unexpected events arise, I'd have to adapt.
If you asked me what I did in my spare time, I’d tell you I like studying Russian, and play video games. I’m also addicted to facebook, and in contact. Back home, I'm a history channel fan. I also like enjoy to take taking classes and learning new things. I took a bartending course one summer and tried to pursuit bartending for awhile. I like gaining knowledge and multitasking. While watching TV, I enjoy searching the web for supplementary information. I enjoy solving puzzles such as sudoku and Japanese Crosswords.
The best way to describe myself would be to describe the typical day at Language Link. I like dressing smarter which includes a shirt and tie. It’s important to look good and feel good at work. I like lesson plan each morning before most people head to work because I enjoy their company and get distracted. Work always comes first, and I liked getting to work earlier incase if there were any accidents or traffic problems. Getting to work early helps reduce the stress of rushing being late. This is important to me.
Over the years I've taught in Moscow schools, Volgograd and now Moscow region. I really enjoyed the Volgograd school because of the nice facilities, great people and friendly atmosphere. Overall, it's been a positive experience teaching wherever I teach.
So to summarize, I am a neat individual. I like to be on time, and am prepared for the expected and unexpected. I am easy going and have a sense of humor.
