As a girl born and brought up in the Scottish Highlands, moving to the biggest city in continental Europe was a bit of a change! However the Language Link staff were there to guide me through the acclimatisation process and it soon became home.

Working for Language Link has enabled me to meet some fantastic people (staff, teachers and students) and it has given me a chance to experience life in one of the most historically interesting and culturally rich countries in the world.

The work has been challenging, especially because I was a newly qualified teacher when I arrived, but rewarding too. There is academic support on hand when you need it and the other teachers are always willing to clarify any tricky grammar points that you can't get your head around before you have to go and teach it to a class later on in the day. It is a credit to Language Link that they have such friendly and enthusiastic staff who are genuinely passionate about the English language.

Outside of work, living in Moscow again is something that has to be got used to but as a teacher I was provided with a clean, comfortable and cosy flat close to the Metro station. One of the biggest benefits of working for Language Link for me is that any worries about finding somewhere to live and sorting out legal working visas are taken away from you.

On the whole, working for Language Link in Moscow has been a most positive experience and is one I would recommend to anyone wishing to live in the spectacular and overwhelming city of Moscow.
