Although my stay in Russia was for a brief two months, my experiences here are one's that I will remember for the rest of my life. I arrived in Moscow knowing very little about Russia and having absolutely no idea how I was going to survive. I had heard horror stories about awful Russian English schools that terribly mistreated their teachers, and I was a bit apprehensive. However right from my first day, Language Link and its staff have been helpful and supportive and basically, well, my lifeline during my stay here.
Russia is a great country, but it is very different from the west, so it does take a bit of time to get used to and problems will arise. When they do, Language Link is, without fail, there to support its teachers.
The flats and teaching facilities provided by Language Link are very adequate, and the salary is more than adequate for Moscow.
Language Link is definitely a good company to work for, and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of coming to Russia to teach.
Dave had to leave us early as he was invited to interview for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Though Dave did not enter the 'Mounties', he did return to us, not as a teacher, but as a student in our School of Russian Language Studies where he presently 'warms a seat each day'.
