Teacher Training

The Language Link ELT Department was set up in 1997 to provide comprehensive on-going methodological support for English language teachers within the Moscow educational system and to consolidate the pre-service and in-service training of teachers within Language Link centres in Russia. It is fully accredited to train teachers for both the CELTA and DELTA programmes validated by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) and the Foundation Certificate in Teaching Business English (FTBE) validated by the London Chamber of Commerce Examinations Board (LCCIEB).

Today, Language Link ELT works not only as a full partner with MIOO (Moscow Institute of Open Education) but also in cooperation with a number of leading Russian universities and provides a wide range of educational services which include:

• 4 week UCLES CELTA Programmes
  

• Examination preparation courses leading to the UCLES Certificate in English for English Language Teachers (CEELT I and II)
  

• 20/30-hour English language teacher development programmes focusing on current ELT trends and language use
  

• A comprehensive English language testing package: provision of tests and examiners, interpretation of test results and methodological support for teachers to evaluate the teaching and learning process
  

• International examination support: student testing by trained examiners and methodological support for teachers in preparing students for international exams
  

• A comprehensive seminar programme: Young Learners, teaching Business English, cultural aspects of language teaching and learning, materials exploitation
  

• Consultancy for teachers with regard to methodology and quality assurance: lesson observation and evaluation, seminars and teacher assessment
