If you are going to apply for a visa to Russia, it would be best to check with the Russian consulate nearest you for their most up-to-date information. Though surprising, some Russian consulates have additional 'requirements' that must be fulfilled in order to obtain a visa. These, fortunately, are the exceptions rather than the rule. So as to assist you in this process, please consult the following table. Please note, not all Russian consulates have websites. Therefore, it is advisable to call the consulate first.
